University of Cambridge

Region of Residence: Cambridge

Maximum number of mentees: 5

Previous Education

BA (Hons) Natural Sciences

achievements/experiences

I used to teach in my alma mater, Hwa Chong Institution (College), as a teaching assistant after my A-levels. I am also a mentor in Project Access, where I help Malaysian and Singaporean mentees in their applications to Cambridge.

I graduated with a Triple First in the Biological Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in July 2017, and I received the J M Thoday Prize for the best performance in my final year examinations in the subject genetics.

I hope to share...

  • Should mentees do a PhD?

  • Some academic guidance if possible

  • A guide to funding applications to Cambridge for graduate studies

  • Why I enjoy the study of genetics

I'm looking for mentees that are...

Interested in the study of science for the sake of science, and not trying to dive into the financial sector immediately after graduation.
